IAM Movers Conference 2016, New Orleans

Friday October 21st to Monday October 24th saw the annual gathering of nearly 3000 movers from around the world, this year in New Orleans for the annual IAM Movers Conference 2016.

Representing GB Liners were Mark Burnett and Andy Hawtin from London. An extremely busy schedule of almost 50 meetings over the 4 days began with an early start after a long flight but thanks to a steady supply of Starbucks at the Hyatt Regency, a series of positive and productive meetings was had with our overseas partners. Whilst everyone reports some tough times, it is clear that our service, flexibility and willingness to go that bit further shows GB Liners are held with high regard within our global network. The boys even found time for a selfie!

“Its great to come to this conference each year and keep the face to face dialog going with our trusted partners. Whilst its obviously important that our network is compliant and understands each others global needs, you can’t beat meeting in person with someone (and perhaps sharing a beer or two) to really building strong relationships” said Andy.

If our Inbox is anything to go by, a successful conference was had by all. Here’s to a successful 12 months. See you all in Long Beach!
